VISITING ARTISTS RESIDENCY

As part of Good Hope Art's commitment to the growth and development of its artists we encourage visiting artists to utilize the studio space for a period between 8 to 12 weeks (or longer)

Our first visiting artist, Wilhemien van Diepen was from the Netherlands and our second visiting artist Simon Bannister from Johannesburg.

In hearing the difficulties experienced by a visiting artist we have now employed an artist to assist both local resident artists as well visiting artists to find their way into the studios and the routine of the studios.  The residency co-ordinator will be involved in the process from enquiry to farewell. More equipment, such as bottles and pallets has also been bought to ease the burdens of our visitors.

Our Artreach facilitator has also been tasked to make the outreach much more organised and accessible to our visitors.

The be our next visiting artist go to http://www.goodhopeart.org/self-funded-residency.php and start the process.
